Diamond stud settings hold a diamond securely in a basket, allowing the entire room to appreciate the fire and elegance of the precious gem without any gemstones or metal to distract from the pure beauty of the diamond. The versatile quality of stud earrings makes them the perfect piece of jewelry- they're comfortable to wear with everything from jeans to a wedding dress.

Hoop earrings are a continuous design that pins through the earlobe and is held in place by a latch back or friction back. They are available in a variety shapes and styles, round and oval being the most popular.
Earring Backing Types
Screw on/off fasteners require the wearer to screw the back or "nut" of the earring on and off a post threaded through the ear. This type of fastener is the most secure and what we recommend to customers for the added security of your purchase.
Push or Friction Backings
Also known as La Poussette, this type of earring fastener requires no screwing to put on or take off jewelry. Also called a butterfly backing, push backings are used to securely lock all types of earrings- they're an excellent choice for studs, hoops, and drop earrings.
Lever Backings have a curved wire hook but are fastened behind the ear with a lever that opens and closes. This backing type is only used with drop earrings.
Widely used for hoop earrings, there are two types of latch backs. One type holds the post on a hinge and clips into a notch on the back of the earring. The second kind has an immobile post and a lever-style back that has a hole for the post to slide into.
This style of backing can only be used with drop earrings. There is no back to this closure- it is a curved wire hook that pokes through the ear.
